Starbucks at Home and Freedom inspire Kiwis’ at-home coffee rituals

With more Kiwis working from home and the rise of the curated ‘coffee nook’, Starbucks at Home has enlisted the help of some of New Zealand’s most stylish personalities to inspire dreamy at-home coffee moments through a partnership with Freedom.

Specially curated coffee spaces created by influential Kiwi stylists Shelley Ferguson, Ron Goh, Evie Kemp and Britt Cunningham, will be featured at Freedom’s Sylvia Park, Newmarket, Wellington and Christchurch stores from 18 September until 12 November.

Featuring key pieces from Freedom’s latest summer collection, Starbucks at Home is inviting customers to visit the designer spaces and enjoy a complimentary Starbucks by Nespresso coffee in store. Freedom customers can continue their styled coffee journey at home with a complimentary sleeve of Starbucks by Nespresso coffee pods included with every purchase at participating stores for a limited time and while stocks last.

Nestlé New Zealand Head of Marketing Fern Castellanos said: “As a nation that loves quality coffee and home styling, it felt like a match made in heaven to inspire Kiwis’ to create their perfect at-home coffee experience in partnership with Freedom.

“Whether you like to enjoy your coffee in a specially designed coffee nook, in your home office, or soaking up the sun outdoors, Kiwis can take inspiration from our stylists’ looks to create their ideal space to savour a cup of Starbucks by Nespresso.”

  • Interior designer and The Block judge, Shelley Ferguson has designed a calm and classic living room to indulge in her coffee ritual.
  • Social media style influencer Ron Goh (@MrCigar) has created a dining space that perfectly reflects the crafted mid-century style that has made him Instagram -famous.
  • Designer and illustrator, Evie Kemp, true to her aesthetic, has created a fun and colourful outdoor space to enjoy her Starbucks at Home.
  • Mother of three, content creator and speaker, Brit Cunningham has lent her hand to creating the ideal home office, complete with a coffee station.

Freedom New Zealand Managing Director Zoe Hertelendi says: “We have seen a noticeable rise in the number of customers looking to incorporate a coffee space into their homes. With increased work flexibility and the rise of the home office, we know people want a space at home – whether it’s their home office, kitchen or living space – where they can relax and enjoy the process of not just drinking a coffee but making one as well. A coffee machine is no longer something that gets hidden away behind the pantry doors and Freedom Furniture transforms spaces with its beautiful designs that will elevate your coffee at home experience.”
